I’m Lize Rubens, a photographer working across portrait, commercial and documentary imagery. I’m drawn to people with presence, brands with something to say and moments you can’t quite stage. My work explores the tension between polished and real, instinct and intention, beauty and the less obvious.

My camera is a way of getting closer: to people, to ideas, to the things that make us look twice. Whether I’m working with a brand, an artist or a cultural organisation, I’m interested in finding the sweet spot between what something wants to say and what it actually makes you feel. Less about ticking boxes, more about creating images that stick around.

Based in Antwerp, Belgium, but always happy to travel wherever your story takes me.
